HRP Group, the firm responsible for the redevelopment of the former Potomac River Generating Station site in Alexandria, has officially announced its separation from Hilco Global. This transition allows HRP Group to operate as an independent company, marking a significant milestone in its growth and strategic direction.
With a robust portfolio, HRP Group manages assets valued at approximately $2.6 billion and oversees more than 23 million square feet of real estate across 2,300 properties. The firm aims to leverage its extensive experience and resources to enhance the redevelopment of the Potomac River site, transforming it into a vibrant community space while preserving its historical significance.
The decision to spin out as an independent entity is expected to provide HRP Group with greater flexibility and focus on its projects, enabling it to better serve the needs of the Alexandria community and its stakeholders. The redevelopment initiative is poised to create new opportunities for residents and businesses alike, contributing to the region's economic growth.
